This January was a big weekend for Boise Gems — and we’re still riding that momentum.

Our January Brass Camp had historic attendance, with 40+ members in the building and ready to work. For a corps that’s still growing, that kind of turnout means a lot. It wasn’t just a good rehearsal — it was one of those weekends that reminds you why we do this.

From the first warm-up to the last rep of the day, the focus and effort were there. The brass line made real progress in a short amount of time, and even better than that, the culture in the room felt strong — supportive, driven, and proud.

We spent the weekend building fundamentals, tightening up ensemble timing, and setting the standard for what the season is going to look like. Every rehearsal block felt like we were taking another step toward something bigger.

On top of that, we’re excited to share that we also finalized our Drum Major team this weekend — and we’ll be announcing them soon.
