Kimberly Enriquez is a trumpeter from Las Vegas, Nevada. Her passion for music and the marching arts brought her to the Treasure Valley to study Music Education at Boise State University in 2021. Kimberly’s desire to pursue music education stems from her participation in the marching arts. At eleven years old, she began marching trumpet and continued that through her years in high school and college. Much of her passion also comes from her experiences gained while marching cymbals with indoor percussion groups, independent and scholastic, in the Las Vegas area. Aside from playing her instrument, Kim takes pride in the various leadership positions she holds. Kim currently serves as the Head Drum Major for the Boise State Blue Thunder Marching Band. She actively works with the Mountain View High School Marching Band as a high brass, visual, drum major, and leadership tech. Additionally, she enjoys teaching her private trumpet students. Kim hopes to bring her leadership experience to the Boise Gems and use it to help on the administrative side of the organization. During her free time, Kim enjoys facetiming her five dogs back home, reading a good book, and playing Minecraft.
