Ryan Haskell is an active winds and front ensemble composer, arranger, electronics designer, and educator within the marching arts. Known for his thoughtful musical voice and detail-driven approach to sound design, Ryan has collaborated with ensembles across the United States, helping groups elevate both their musical identity and overall production quality. Hailing from Mission Viejo, California, Ryan’s performance background includes four years with Mission Viejo High School (2010–2014), followed by seasons with Orange County Independent Percussion (2015) and Broken City Percussion (2016). These formative experiences shaped his creative perspective and continue to inform his work as a designer and educator. As a writer and designer, Ryan has contributed to a wide range of scholastic programs, including Orange Coast Musical Arts (CA), Mascoutah High School (IL), Hesperia High School (CA), and Eisenhower High School (CA). He currently serves as the electronics designer for Cesar E. Chavez High School (CA)’s Concert Percussion Ensemble (PSCW) and as the music arranger for Eleanor Roosevelt High School (CA). Through his company, Pitstar Productions, Ryan writes for programs nationwide, offering custom compositions, arrangements, and electronic design solutions tailored to each ensemble’s strengths and instructional goals. Ryan resides in Caldwell, Idaho, where he enjoys life with his sons, Noah and Jonah.
