A native to the Treasure Valley area, Tanner currently lives in Boise, ID and a proud alumnus of Meridian HS. This is his first year with Boise Gems Independent. His previous teachings have had him with, Fruitland HS, Mountain View HS, Kuna HS, Borah HS, and Rift Percussion. Tanner is currently the percussion caption head with Fruitland HS and the director of Fruitland Indoor Percussion. Tanner is also the Battery/Visual supervisor with Kuna Indoor Percussion. During his time as a performer, he has marched with Rhythm Armada, North Star Independent, and Oregon Crusaders Indoor.
